Drew stood in his closet full of clothes and claimed that makes someone rich......his closest full of clothes is in fact the reason we are NOT rich.

Deep discussions with Drew Adamez...

Drew recently asked me (randomly - as always) how they get babies out when they're born ..... I hesitated because I wasn't quite sure he was ready to hear that part of the story. He soon asked if they have to cut the penis? Relieved that he was more interested in the boy's pain - and THAT area - than a mother's pain - and THAT area - I had to explain to him about germs and such but then I was afraid he was gonna run off and talk to his Jewish friends at school! So then we got into a religious discussion about why people do or don't "cut" the penis and at what age...... I was basically exhausted. The questions he's asking now are requiring much more complex answers with much more complex personal views. But, alas, I will have an open minded son.

We're back!

With an end to another school year we'll have some time over the summer to post pics and quotes from our man Drew! And since MR is no longer a sweet and innocent little baby - we'll be adding some funny MR stories!

Deep Thoughts with Drew Adamez

Drew's new thing is: "What does ______ do to your body?" (it's always about food...milk, pizza, cheese, meat, strawberries, water) These have been pretty challenging - especially when we're treating ourselves to oreos - I just had to tell him they're for fun, but eating too many is when it can be bad for your body! I can't ruin his love for oreos!

Yesterday Drew asked me, "When are we gonna get to go to Heaven?" (in the same tone he would ask about Gattiland or the swimming pool - like he's getting tired of waiting!) It was pretty hard trying to explain how important it is to want to go but not want to go "right now." Because his new response to every answer is "but I wanna ______ right now!"

My favorite thing about Drew's deep thoughts: he's been talking about when he was in Heaven before he was born too. He says that we were standing there yelling, "pick me, pick me!" And that's why he picked us to be his parents!

Oh, AND, he walked up to me today and said he had a secret to tell me in my ear, "You're the best mom in the world and I love you."
